Good news - I just learned that Trump is abandoning his idea of a border tax for Mexican goods. So the price for this essential Mexican product stays the same. Use it liberally!
Glen... anonymity brings out the worst sometimes....
I reminisce about the good olde days when I was young and when people went to their local breakfast place, local pub, local soda stand inside the Pharmacy and recognized each other and BS'ed when they wanted to...... they HAD to be more respectful to everyone... not that damned liberal over there or that conservative Neanderthal over there ...everyone knew your business and all about you so you couldn't bullshit. Political arguments might get heated but there was a respect for the other's point of view...at least it was worth wondering about anyhow...
People are pack animals and I guess Walter wants to join this pack in the mountains of Panama for some reason...even all the way from freezing Canada... (Why don't Canadians pray for Global Warming?)
Sorry Guy if I rained on your parade. I forgot that this was a (premature) invitation to the 100-day party, which I'm most likely not going to attend...
I'm sure you have already three confirmed guests:
El Gato, "Glen" and Gordon James. Provided they want to come out of anonymity. Well - "Glen" is the local in-ground safe manufacturer - perhaps you did business with him. Maybe Jan Garman can join too you if women invited.
You lament the fact that the good olde days are gone. Why? I meet my friends every Wednesday evening at the Sir Winston Churchill pub downtown and we shoot the breeze all evening long. Politics are rarely on the agenda because we are all of the "same ilk" so it would get boring quite quickly. Maybe that's why I'm here...
Cyber forums are a great feature - they can help people open their horizon beyond the tiny closed-in expat society they live in and sometimes even make them see the "larger picture". If that's against the purpose of your "discussions", let me know!

Walter - I never answered your question as to my gender. KS already tried that trick.
You wrote: "Maybe Jan Garman can join too you if women invited". Your grammar and sentence structure is deteriorating. I hope I am not upsetting you.

Screw walt. (walt is the forum fool)
Lets have a party!
I am sure we will have to pay for security to protect us from the "tolerant" opposition but lets do it.
I wouldnt be surprised if they take pictures of the attendees and post them to "shame" us.
Any bar restaurant owner want to come out of the closet and host an event?
We have time to find a place.... maybe the new Bier Garden....
I would hold off buying liquor and party props just yet.... you never know what could happen anytime soon...
