Boquete Panama

Cool, Green and the best Coffee in the world

I went to the David office of immigration to renew my 30 day Blue Card (the card issued when you apply for a Pensionado and is good for 30 days as a visa). I was there two days early to renew because my 30 day blue card that was expiring on Sunday the 27th of January. I was told there that Blue Cards now must be renewed exactly on the date of expiration (exception being when they expire on Saturday or Sunday they are to be renewed on the following Monday). They are now also issued for 90 days for a fee of $15.00 as opposed to a fee of $10 per 30 days.

Thanks for the information. It is good to know about the 90 day option as I was told some months back that that was no longer available. I have been going for months to David to renew my blue card - my pensionado visa has been in process for over a year. When I recently went to Migracion in Panama I was told that all the cards that have been signed by the Director for Chiriqui pensionado applicants would be sent to David. But still no card.

It took us about one year to finally receive our cards. The 90 day option would have been a blessing.
