I hope this is appropriate to start a thread here about rentals. Boquete rentals, short term to long term, can be found on a number of sites; craigs list, real estate sites, personal sites, other forums, etc. I would enjoy to read what this forum knows of, finds, and thinks of various places.

Sound good? I see rentals from a couple of hundred to thousands per month. Daily rentals from 20 dollars to hundreds. As with anywhere a little bit of everything. Some seem reasonable, others seem to good to be true, etc. Would be great to have a place to post and compare, ask, or to be recommended to someplace special by those "in the know".

Hotels, houses, apartments, farms, or a room to rent, etc.

Seems to be best to rent first for most before settling in as Panama Canuck is doing.

So I thought I would post some internet links. Not recommending, just listing in hopes people have comments, information, find a place to stay, etc. Things easily found searching, just putting it here to be all in one spot to be added to, etc.

My guess is the best deals are found in person. For example when staying in one remote area in the USA typical house rentals were 600 (small apartment) to thousands for upscale housing. I was lucky to find a tw story quanit farm house surruonded by a couple of hundred acres for only 150 a month. The owner didn't advertise, word of mouth. His big stipluation was that the lawn had to be mowed weekly, whether it needed it or not. Needless to say I became a mower and still miss that mountain home.

And DEFINITELY a person with a unique home who wants someone to do buy direct with Owner financing would be a blessing and intense motivator.

Short term rentals seem to be available and at decent prices from these links. Long term rentals with reasonable to what seems to be exorbitant prices as well. A wonderful home at a deep discount for long term and descrete professional rentor who can abide by certain eccentricities sure would be enticing. ;D

Will be visiting soon. Spirit Air by the way has begun having flights to Panama city for the first time.

Thanks for thinking of this. i would be interested in the supply side as I have a room in my home that I rent to short term visitors. It is difficult to know where to advertise other than Craig's list. I know there are people looking for reasonable, clean, safe places to stay that really do have hot water. So it would be great if they could find what they are looking for.
