Hypocrisy and me.

Ok, death, taxes and hypocrisy; are something we all have in common. After several months of tolerance I have decided to take the controversial act of banning trolls.

Bradley and all his comments are gone. If he reappears under a new name with the same attitude I will ban him also. I will leave his other alter egos for now since they just reacted to him.

I my actions defeat the purpose of this board I apologize in advance but I think the distraction of obscenity was beyond the scope of Boquete.

Dear Lee,

Even though I am a big believer in free speech, I am so glad that you did this. Not only was Bradley obscene, but he wrote terrible lies about really good people. Free speech is a right that also has responsibilities and consequences, and Bradley abused his rights.

Thank you. Hopefully, you will never have to ban anyone again.

Lee, I also thank you. This is such a good site with good information and good people. It's a shame that people like Bradley and Leroy Jackson have to try to take the fun out of it with their silliness and ignorance.

well done Lee. Heck, if it had been me, I'd have quietly banned 'Bradley' after his first post (and deleted the post at the same time).

I love debate and reading differing views. But flaming and trolling others, is something that has to be nipped in the bud......otherwise the lunatics take over the asylum; and good decent minded folks walk away, never to return.

Lee, I think the majority of users of this site appreciate your action. Banning for 'obscenity' is very different than banning for 'content'. Thank you for removing these characters and their trash.

This guy was just mocking the whole discource between genuinely interested people. While I have stood for his right to free speach in the past, I fully support his censure now. I am sure everyone hear has had enough.

It seems to me that the difference between openness and hypocrisy is fairly easy to define. Allowing others to share an opinion that is not mine makes for a good site. And I may even learn something. Forbidding others to express views contrary to mine all the while expressing mine is hypocrisy. Personal attacks, street language and the like seem to me the exact way to destroy a board such as this. I come to this site to stay abreast about Boquete and Chiriquí.

Personally, if I want to read about or participate in sexual activities with groups of people I will go to web sites that cater to that type of "sharing."

I think you did a good thing.

Probably a tough decision but a good one, in my opinion. It will be nice to not be subjected to the crass writings of Bradley and Leroy. It was quite a turn-off.
