1995 Mercedes CL500 (S500) in David garage. Has not been on the road for four years. Mechanic says he will make it new for $1,500. I have already paid $500 so it leaves $1,000 or do it yourself. I want $3,000 so you will have $4,000 in a car that sold for over $100,000 new. This is one of the finest Mercedes made for luxury and comfort. If no one wants it, I will sell it for a parts car. Parts alone should bring $4,000 plus. Call Dave Dion 507-6388-4428.

Hi David,
Does the car run? Dos it have a clear title? May I see the car when I come down? May 03-May 22?
I'm interested.
Robert
Robert,
It ran when I put it in storage four years ago but I would suspect that the gas has gone bad and the fuel system from the tank to the injectors should be refreshed. It has clear title but it needs to be brought up to date as Panama requires that the plates be paid each year whether it is on the road or not. It is also in a Foundation which it could either be left there and you pay the four years of taxes and keep the Foundation or transfer it out and I have already paid for the plates to be updated. You can see the car anytime however I would hope it is sold before May 3rd. I also have a 1995 BMW 740iL which I drive daily. I am asking $9,500 but need to sell some cars so would entertain $7,000 or so for a quick sale. If you need pictures I could send them.
Are there any buyers that are mechanically inclined? Super project car. I just don't have the time.
Hi David...
This car sounds like a good deal...IF it is repaired. Why not have it repaired and THEN sell it? I do believe you'd get much more interest, and probably sell it rather quickly.
You say you don't have the time, but earlier you stated the mechanic will put it in working order, so what difference does it make if you have the time or not? That's a little confusing.
At any rate, good luck on selling your car!

Mike Petersen
I have to go to Costa Rica and don't have time to check on the mechanic and the progress of the car. IF someone wants to spend the time, energy and money on the car they will come out with a good one. If not I will sell it for parts. With a good 5 liter engine and transmission it should bring $3,000 for parts. Doesn't matter to me, sell it or part it.
Hi,
Just a couple of questions:
Where is the car at the moment? Does it need 1000$ to run or is it still running?
How many miles? Diesel or Gas?
Thanks for the questions Stephen. The car is at the mechanic shop in David. I can give you directions if you want to go look. The mechanic says it runs but I did not hear it run. I drove it daily four years ago but it was stored at my attorneys in Panama for four years and I am sure the gasoline is old and probably needs to be replaced from the tank to the injectors. That is part of the $1,000. Can't remember how many miles but it would be a normal amount for the age, I am sure. It is gasoline. When mechanically good and cleaned it is a beautiful car.
