This is a prime example of fake news and the vast amount of damage it does to society. This story recently made the headlines on main stream media. Please read the comments at the bottom of the first article. Read comment after comment of the immense anger and hatred toward President Trump. Now read the second link. It was all a LIE. Now rinse and repeat another story. The MSM is using every ounce of their energy to destroy President Trump's reputation and in their haste will run stories that have not been verified. But they don't care because if the fake news creates false anger and hate coming from the left then it has done its job.

Both sites ran with the original story and retracted later AFTER the damage was done. The sad part was reading the comments in HuffPost. Even if the story were true the comments showed how truly divided the country is. I will say this again, Trump's EO is completely reasonable because we are at war with ISIS and they have strong support in all 7 countries. To ban travel from an enemy we are at war with is very reasonable. The only reason the left is throwing a hissy fit over this is pure partisan politics. When Obama repealed the Cuban refugee EO that caused a lot of strife for Cubans in transit. Many were left in horrid conditions without a place to go. But there was virtually zero media coverage and criticism towards Obama. No outrage, no protests. Nada. And we are not even at war with Cuba. They don't harbor ISIS. Now compare that to Trump's action regarding banning refugees from enemy nations that are ISIS friendly. His actions make logical sense. But the media blasted a firestorm of criticism and the liberal lemmings ganged up and it was a mob of protests and hatred toward our President Trump. Do you see how FAKE everything is? It's all partisan theatrics and ZERO substance emanating from the left. Their reality is a manufactured show compliments of the main stream media.
ISIS is at war with the countries they are operating in. What you say is like saying let's ban all Americans from going to Europe because the KKK exists in the U.S.A.
But you will never change your mind because you blindly believe what you "alt-right" sources feed you. I can at least say that I have lived in three different Muslim countries for quite a number of years (as a civilian, not as a military invader) and have perhaps a better connection with reality than you do...
Walter, the point of the temporary travel ban is to implement extreme vetting for these 7 countries since they are terrorist hotbeds. It's not just ISIS members but ISIS sympathizers and supporters who are just regular citizens and could pass standard vetting. People are being killed on both sides. It's a blood bath daily. To compare this situation to the KKK is a joke. IF the KKK had a public agenda to kill all non-whites and the USA was harboring these KKK members and let's say 10% of the USA population supported the KKK then it would make sense for a predominantly non-white country to implement extreme vetting toward U.S. travelers to make sure KKK members or sympathizers are not let into their country. If that means a 120 day travel ban against the USA to implement these measures then that is reasonable. Even if there hasn't been one death caused by a KKK member in their country in the past it still makes logical sense to implement these measures as a precaution rather than wait for a blood bath to happen.
Nothing Trump is doing is unreasonable but because you hate the guy so much you are trying to find fault with everything he does. More people support Trump's travel ban vs. oppose 49% to 41%. So you are in the minority. There are plenty of stories of Muslims who lived in these 7 countries that currently support Trump's ban. They have a much greater awareness of the reality of the situation than either of us have.
Trouble is Trump's travel ban was just a knee jerk reaction. He wanted to show that he is doing something in his first week in office. He could have handled it better and with some thought. Trump is all about his impression and showmanship. When you read 'executive order' think 'temporary order'
Unfortunately I think his ego is too big to ever be a good never mind great President.
I'm not in any minority, because I'm not American. And as you may know, being in a majority does not always make something "right" - it rather just reflects the mentality of the "plebeians" that make up the majority in any society.
And for the last time - I don't hate anybody. Yes, I do dislike Trump and some of his crew very much - in my view they embody pretty much everything that I dislike most in a human being.
