Good question (seconded) -- I was wondering the same thing!
So, is it correct to say that the BEST number to call in case of emergency (ie, life threatening situation / home break-in / crime-in-progress) is: 6477-6662 ???
Can somebody please post the number of the Boquete Police Department? … and/or any additional emergency numbers?
Gracias
(edited to add: hey forum moderators, it would be a good idea to make a "sticky" with Emergency Numbers… unless a page for that already exists and I just have yet to find it.)

Rodny Moreno is still under contract to Alto al Crimen, and will also continue to be the AAC Hotline operator for about three more months. There are no changes whatever in AAC Hotline coverage or service.
I am an IT (information technology) volunteer for Alto al Crimen, and I am excited to see the organization reinvigorated with a dynamic group of new volunteers dedicated to serving the community.
Alto al Crimen is a non-profit foundation, and is supported solely by donations. We are dedicated to serving all members of the community - citizens, resident expats, and tourists. No caller to the AAC Hotline is refused assistance during an emergency - and that spirit of serving the community without excluding anyone is a big motivator for our group of volunteers. We do, of course, need and solicit donations, suggesting a minimum of $20 per year for each registration. More helps other people.
The Alto al Crimen website is now www.altoalcrimen.info. You can register for a resident ID online and provide detailed directions to your residence location, medical conditions & medications. That information will be stored in our secure database for use by our Hotline operator when you call with emergencies.
Although this is just my unofficial response to a question here at Boquete.ning, please understand that Alto al Crimen remains a dynamic and helpful organization for the Boquete community.

Good question. We haven't heard from them for a long time.
