Animal flood victims

Many animals were abandoned or stranded because of the flood. We have located some of them, and Martha Miranda is collecting dog and cat food and also money for food. Some animals have been found at the school with their families who were evacuated there. Some dogs and cats were left in houses that the owners cannot return to, and they need to be fed. Martha is continuing to look for animals in need. Sadly, some horses, dogs, and pigs that were tied up were killed as the flood waters came raging through.

If you can donate dog and cat food, or money for food, please call Martha Miranda at 6563-8686.

This is Marise and James, enroute , from Canada to Panama, currently in Oregon with arrival in Panama, estimated December 2nd. We have not heard any news...where have these floods occured?

Go to www.boquete.org and scroll down to the Boquete Weather link. When you get to the page, click on Quick, then look on the left. There is a note in red that says "Boquete Flood Photos." It will show you a complete view of the damage.
