I am receiving messages that state I'm unable to connect to Netflix or that the selected title is not currently available. I am using a Roku and can get Pandora and other programs. Just wanted to know if anyone else is having similar issues.

Netflix recently has installed a new firewall to keep people from accessing U.S. Netflix via the use of a VPN, according to Juan Arauz. There's a workaround, but I understand it's very complicated. I recommend talking to Juan or some other computer wizard.

Bonnie, they did that some time ago. RoKU updated their software several months ago to make it more difficult but it is only requires following instruction from your DNS redirection provider to work around. If you look at unlocator.com for an example they provide detailed instructions on how to modify router settings. I have no problems with Roku, Amazon Fire, iPad, iPhone or computer with Netflix, Hulu plus, Amazon Prime, or PBS.
You're right Lee. It was quite some time ago. Plus, I didn't notice it because I watch Netflix on my Amazon Fire rather than on t.v., and it's fine there, as you said. I'm not technologically savvy enough to mess with my router settings, so I have to depend on the professionals for what many of you consider to be easy tasks.

Does anyone have contact information for Juan Arauz, the computer guy??
Yes, ever since Roku did their last update at the end of March. We just keep trying the program, and eventually it will load up. We have Cable Onda which now seems to have its own selection of problems, seemingly since they have extended its client base.

Thanks, Fran!

I watched US Netflix on my computer yesterday afternoon and Panamanian Netflix on our smart TV last night.

Yes, we were having the same problem, but then our internet went down entirely. Just now came back up. Planet Telecom.
