Cool, Green and the best Coffee in the world
I´d like to meet some residents while I´m here for the next few days. I live in La Chorrera (near Panama City) but am looking for another area. I´m a retired woman here by myself so I´d especially welcome viewpoints from the same, but would also like to hear anyone´s experiences. You can email me: kkyrene@yahoo.com.

Permalink Reply by kyrene on August 13, 2012 at 9:16pm Thanks for your info. Did go to the market but had to do something else instead of going to the meeting. Boquete is gorgeous.
Permalink Reply by Carolyn Swanton on August 6, 2012 at 4:23pm There is also a group of women called Blue Sky that meets somewhere on Tuesday afternoons. I have never been to a meeting, but they help women in crisis and probably have seen and heard much about this area.
Permalink Reply by kyrene on August 13, 2012 at 9:28pm Thanks for the referral to the Blue Sky women's group. Been wandering around in other countries so haven't participated in a woman's group for many years. It was good to be involved again.

Only a few came, but then I talked to other people there. If you see posts on the forum you can add yours, or you could invite a few members (your treat?) whose profiles seem like a good fit.

Permalink Reply by kyrene on August 13, 2012 at 9:44pm Those are good suggestions. I'm back "home" in La Chorrera now. Had nice chats with people in David and Boquete. I'll agree with those who say people in the interior (meaning anyplace other than Panama City) are nicer than those in PC (including La Chorrera). When I was in a market in David and stepped aside to let a young man mop the floor, he actually looked up and smiled at me. I about fell over. Doesn't happen here.
If you would like to receive email of the happenings in Boquete send an email to:
