We've had this problem a couple of times. A quick call to our US Bank and the money was back in our account in a day. I have heard others say it took a few days, but it was a day with both Schwab and Chase
You have to contact your home bank for a reversal/credit. Major omission in service here in that foreign to Panama banks do not reverse debit when no money presented. Not a problem with using local bank accounts.
You can file a denuncia that you were defrauded, but I don't think that will fly!
I have had this same problem at least 4x, but not lately. Happened at different banks, too, and once in Costa Rica. Never in the US.
