Carlos' workers in David did a terrible job on my metallic dark green Montero - they apparently sanded and painted the filler over the dent on the door before it was hardened, and over a few weeks, very obvious creases and lines appeared in the finish. And he didn't fix the sticky power window on the damaged door, but rather sprayed the track with lubricant so it started sticking badly again after a few weeks. I didn't bother taking it back and fighting over it, because I plan to have the whole car repainted next year due to the clear-coat wearing through in places.
I have a friend who is really into cars, and he recommended Ludwig to me. His "taller" (shop) is about 50 meters up the street from the library on the right. (The side street - not Main Street.) Ludwig's name and info are painted on a big white boulder in front of his shop. I've seen his work - in progress and competed, and it is excellent.
Although his primary skill is paint and bodywork, Ludwig is also an excellent and conscientious mechanic. I use him for all of my maintenance and repair on my Montero Diesel SUV. He is quite personable, and speaks very good English - but he also encourages me to continue to improve my basic Español - and I don't mind that at all.

Yes and he is very good and very reasonable. His name is Levy and his shop is located by going down a street, on the right side, just after passing the Terpel Gas Station in Alto on the left side.
