I had a one car accident with full coverage insurance. It has been 60 days since they towed my car. No repairs have been done because parts are unavailable. Does anyone know of a litigator that can help me.Diane Miller6526-2291 whatsapp.

I believe you are correct. We've spent $2000 in a rental car. I dont know when we will get our car back. I believe only liability. No wonder you see so many cars in need of repairs. So sad.
Had worst insurance ordeal in my life here. Small accident in David in first week of April.i supposedly had best policy with the best broker in Boquete. I got the car back in early dec. it was half repaired I paid an extra two thousand dollars. In my opinion you are better two to buy just enough ins to get you legal and do the rest yourself.
The real problem in Panama is that the dealer groups have not figured out that having parts in stock and selling them when people need them is a way to make money. The parts situation here is quite pathetic for most brands considering how many cars and trucks are sold here. Common parts that frequently fail some times take 30-60 days to get because they want to order everything and ship on a slow boat. One time I had a Ford Ranger repaired under warranty (needed a common hose) by robbing parts off a government vehicle sitting in the back lot waiting for a transmission. ;-)

When the Chinese get into that market things will be better but the Panamanians will be pulling parts in a wrecking yard if the want to work.

I would still contact the Superintendents office. At the end of the day, the reason for having insurance is to indemnify you. The fact that no one can get Hyndai parts is irrelevant, in my way of thinking...but then again, I didn't read the fine print.

Vehicle choice is very important here. It's a good idea to choose a common model and manufacturer to ensure parts availability when required.
This is a small market, so dealers don't stock a lot of body parts and there are very few salvage yards.

Steven, could you post the name of the insurance company?

Your problem may be more with the shop who can't find parts than with the insurance company.
