We were playing bocci ball and witnessed most of it. The SUV was in the inside lane when lost control as is shown by the tire trail on the road. It appears that it may have been a mechanical malfunction with the front right wheel just before the first entrance to Briasas. It ran up the concrete retaining wall dividing the road. We pretty much caught the accident when it reached the top of the wall and started to roll until it stop upright at the second Briasas intersection. We rushed to give aid and were expecting "body counts". Luckily, it appeared that the occupants were all (4) wearing seat belts and get to enjoy the thrill of being alive to fell the pain of healing mostly bruises.
Side note, since we are not very good at bocci ball we didn't notice any effect to our game when we went back to playing.

Frank,
I have played bocci with you before. Watching you was like watching a train wreck. So which was uglier, the accident or your game.
It is obvious, when following other vehicles into a curve or going down the hill into Boquete, that there are many drivers on the road who simply do not understand how to operate a motor vehicle. I am constantly following people in these locations with their brakes on. They do not seem to understand that they should be braking before the curve and powering through it.
I just walked by the spot where the accident happened. That car rode the concrete retaining wall between the south and northbound lanes about 150 feet or more. Yesterday as I was slowing down (almost to a stop) to make the 'more than 90 degree' turn into my street, some yahoo swerved by me just before impact, cursing and blowing the horn. Guess he wasn't paying attention to my brake lights and turn signal. Thinking maybe I'll use the other entrance and take the long way around from now on.

This is the second accident there since the construction. The other car took a header into the drainage pipe under the road..
