Update: Today, March 16th spoke with Banistmo regarding the ATM's. Their plan is to move the two that are currently in front of the bank. One will go to Plaza San Francisco and one to Plaza Los Establos.
Yesterday, Thursday March 13th, we decided to test out our Banistmo ATM card at the branch in Plaza Torenal, David. It did not work. Today, I tried it in the ATM at the branch here in Boquete - it worked fine. I went inside and talked with a staff member and he said it did not work yesterday because of a communication problem. He also confirmed the branch is closing March 21st. When I asked about ATMs at Plaza Los Establos and Plaza San Francisco, he said yes, they were there.
Not being a totally trusting soul, I decided to test my ATM cars at those cajas. I went first to plaza San Francisco but could not find a Banistmo ATM. I inquired inside Scotia Bank and they said, No, there is not a Banistmo ATM but I was welcome to use theirs. Yes, there is a fee.
Next, the same thing at Plaza Los Establos and Banco General. No Banistmo ATM but I could use theirs for a fee.
The only Banistmo ATM in Boquete has always been at their bank. The guy in the bank thought you meant "where are other ATMs, " meaning ANY ATM.

Bruce, Thank you for your reply. I was taking guidance from the above posts on this thread by "Jere M." It is possible that both of us misunderstood the bank staff. Yes, the only current Banistmo ATM's are those two at the Boquete branch.
If Banistmo does not intend to establish or maintain an ATM in Boquete, that would be very inconvenient.
DO NOT use Scotia Bank's ATM unless you are a customer of the bank. They will charge you $ 10.00 plus ITBMS to withdraw money, no matter how much you take out. They call it a "foreign exchange" fee. BS! Every ATM machine in the area will charge you about $ 1.00 plus ITBMS. Stay away from Scotia Bank.

Jere M.,
Thanks. Very good suggestion. That was our backup plan.

Does anyone have any additional information?
