Has anyone got any suggestions where I can go (be polite!) for breakfast Monday morning (2nd.) I won't be getting in to Boquete until Sunday evening, and would like to spend the day on Monday simply wandering around the town, but would like to start the day all fuelled up and ready to go!
I'm not necessarily looking for North American type breakfasts, just anywhere there's good food and good coffee....especially coffee!
Thanks

Thanks everyone for your replies and input. I'll have the opportunity to sample various eating establishments once I arrive. I'm the cook and chief bottle washer at home, but I don't want to spend my brief time there slaving over a hot stove when it I could be out and about exploring and having fun etc.!
I'm getting ready for my trip today as I'm flying out 7.00am tomorrow morning so won't be logging in again until Saturday and then will be driving up to Boquete on Sunday.
Thanks again to all for your responses and advice.
Olga's has the best breakfast.
Even though this link is older, it is still accurate.

Indeed - great breakfast, wonderful ambiance, and lousy coffee.
And Olga is a delightful person. The restaurant is part of Olga's house, and her living space is right next to the dining room behind the windows.
Service can be slow at times, but it is one of Boquete's hidden gems.
Go there to relax and enjoy, not for a quick bite.
And if you love wood like I do, please don't drool on the beautiful ribbon figured mango wood tables.
Have been to Olga's a few times, but just don't think the value for the money is there and isn't one of the places I would recommend as other options for me are more appealing.
I don't go there for the "value" because it's not cheap - nor is it expensive. - kind of mid-range price-wise.
However, Olga is delightful, the food is good, and it's a quaint and interesting restaurant.
Breeakfast at Mike's Global Grill is pretty fine
Been meaning to try both places - thanks, Steve.
I'm really getting into coffee - not so much because I'm addicted to it, but after moving to Boquete from Northern California wine country, I see coffee as one of those optional pleasures of life that many take for granted, but can have lots of subtlety and nuance.
Coffee is a big part of our local economy, and provides income for many people here - from poor to rich. I've met or corresponded with many people in the business, from people an acre or less to the "big guys" like Price Peterson with his famous Hacienda Esmeralda Geisha Coffee and Chris Janson of the large Janson Family Coffee operation in Volcan.
I want them all to succeed and keep providing jobs, and enhance the character of our little corner of paradise. I love the variety of personalities and coffee. For me, it's never about "what's the best coffee" but rather about enjoying the wonderful variety of really good coffee we have here.
I'm playing with the idea of starting a fun blog to write about my journey deeper into the world of coffee. I'd like to share my experiences as I get to know more and more about the wonderful variations in Boquete coffee and the people who make it happen - from the finca owners to the roasters to the people that pick and process the coffee cherries, and those sell and market it.
Thanks Fran. Followed the link and they seem to have a very tasty variety of breakfast items, so I'm looking forward to going there. Unfortunately it's still early here, I haven't eaten yet and while looking at the menu I salivated all over my computer keyboard. ;-)
