Is any one else's electricity all over the place? Ours is going from 60 to 95, instead of the normal 120. The fridge is switching on and off and the lights have been flickering. This started at about 6:15am. I think it may be extra usage with the visitors, but that seems early for the tourist crowd to be using it.

UPS is your best friend here. Especially if on a ridgeline or mountain top because of lightning strikes in the fall. And the power here sucks, will trash any sensitive electronics only a UPS is good protection, but even a UPS can be damaged here. A decent UPS will still fry on rare occasion, but typically sacrifices itself to save the things plugged into it.
Whole house surge protectors are like a rabbits foot. Will not protect against brownouts and many times even surges.
I have not noticed that, but most of the time we are on solar power. It is possibly the wind affecting tenuous wire connections.
It is a good idea to buy a protective device for the refrigerator. It shuts power down for around four minutes when the voltage is too high or too low, then checks it again.too much fluctuation of voltage can damage the compressor in the refrigerator. They cost around $15 and are cheap insurance. They're available in Novey, Do-It Center and a lot of other places. Similar ones are available to protect electronic devices. They work the same but only shut down for very brief periods of time.
Thanks, we have one. We have done our best to protect the house and individual devices also, but these brown outs are hard on everything, including the lights. The garage door opener has a fit, and has to be initialized, so roll on the 'less windy' season!
