Darn! I was ready for anything Mexican. But Volcan it a long way to drive.
It is a real pretty drive if you go via the "cut off" from Porterillos over to the Volcan road and then go "up" the hill. It should take you about an hour or so but if you have not been on that drive you are missing some beautiful vistas! The road is well paved and as long as you always follow the "yellow brick road" (the yellow lines) you cannot make a wrong turn. Some of the turns are not well marked but just follow the yellow lines, the center lines, you will be just fine. When you get into Volcan just keep going, pass Romeros, pass the Police station and go past Kids World on the right and continue until you see Hotel Don Tavo on your right and Burricos will be in the same building. Even though we are good friends with the owners of Burricos I can personally guarantee you an outstanding Mexican meal! Two of my favorites are the Enchiladas Verde (a little spicy) or Enchiladas Rojo (not spicy) and the Tacos de la Calle (Street Tacos)! If you order the Tacos de la Calle, ask Jaime, the co-owner to fix you the special green salsa he makes for them....a little spicy but you will never stop talking about them! Yes, we are a bit prejudiced but if you go and try it out I know you will be a very happy patron.

Where is this place?
In Volcan...take the cut off from Porterellos over to Cuesta de Piedra and go to Volcan. Stay on the main road through Volcan and pass Romeros on your right and pass the police station on your right and keep going. Several blocks later you will see Hotel Don Tavo on your right. Burricos is in the same building.
Volcan - far end of town on the Rio Sereno Highway on the right, next to Hotel Don Tavo.
