We took the David late night express bus. You travel all night, and only stops about three times for a very short time. You can cat nap on bus so you are not that tried when you arrive in Panama City. From the Bus Terminal you get a taxi to airport. Very simple

OK, more clarification. I am taking a daytime bus to near BLB which is before the Canal bridge and of course Panama City proper. BLB is 2 miles south of the Panamerica, where google maps shows a bus stop. I speak Spanish. I am trying to avoid going into PC/Albrook just to backtrack to BLB turnoff where I can get a taxi to go 2 miles. BLB is the old Howard Airforce Base. Plenty of maps if one is unclear where it is.
The buses leaves from David, bus terminal every hour and arrive Panama city Albrook (mall) bus terminal. Travel time varies between 6 to 9 hours (depending on departure time) Bus fares rates are between $12.00 to $18.00 one way ? (depends on your age) Take a blanket (cold bus) Bus makes meal stop. Hope that this info. is helpful

Panama Pacifico airport (BLB) is located west of the canal, before Pan. City. I don't want to go into Panama City. Is there a bus stop near there? I want to go direct as possible

You do have a few options
1. Check with the bus agent at David.
2. Check with the driver (you can get off/on at any point) take a taxi.
3. You can go to *Albrook* and take a bus/taxi to your destination.
If you speak Spanish, it should/will make all the connections easy.

Ok, I can probably ask the bus driver to drop me off at the exit for BLB, and maybe get a taxi from there a couple of miles to the airport. Somebody must of actually done this. How frequent is taxi service near this airport? I know Albrook would work, but it seems an unnecessary time and expense.

Correct, very simple. I do not recommend late nights taxis, if you don*t know where you are/going/language. I wish you the best.
