Permalink Reply by Goodbye San Diego on July 22, 2012 at 7:30pm It was not in Panama as there were "real" napkins in the dispenser and actual salt and pepper shakers on the table. The picture has been around for a long time.
Is James the new Juan, trying to stir the pot??

Permalink Reply by Goodbye San Diego on July 22, 2012 at 7:52pm No I did not do this!!
The photo was off the internet... It applies to most of the restaurants I have been too in Panama. I understand that the servers are not in a job where most people tip. I know that being a regular customer that does tip will sometime get you better service. My point is when I order a beer and see it sitting up at the bar for 15 min. while my server is busy texting and trying hard not to make eye contact with me, I get a little pissy. (Not trying to stir any pots) Just venting some steam, because I would like to find a nice place to eat where the wait staff gave a sh#t

I am not sure where you guys go to dinner in Panama City. I am not sure what kind of good manners and education you may have while being served at those restaurants.
I have been in several good restaurants in Panama and have always invited my friends from US, Europe and other places that comes to Panama to do some business with me and have never complain from the places and restaurants I have been. Let me tell you that as a customer I am very strict and I talk strong and directly to any waiters and waitresses. I always demand for quick and good service but talking to the waiter and waitresses with good manners, softly and in an educated way HELPS A LOT.
