Doubtful.... Unless you are applying for a Mortgage with a Corporation. Each bank varies on what their requirements are. Here is one I found from Banco General

For approval of your home loan, you need to submit the following documents:
For natural persons:

     Photocopy of identity card or passport of each applicant if foreign
     Employees: Work letter - a copy of the last record or check stub
     Independent: Declaration of personal income in the last three years, with corresponding receipts and acceptance report
     Card balance or last pay stub, if the property is mortgaged
     Photocopy of the promise of Purchase - Sale
     Property valuation (a requirement of the Credit Committee)

Requirements foreigners:

     Copy of the passport including migration (entry and exit stamps)
     Copying a second identification
     Employee work certificate or letter. Attach two recent pay stubs.
     If self last 2 tax returns / financial statements for the last two years by a licensed accountant.
     Two letters of bank references from their country of origin. Attach the last two bank statements.
     Bank reference letter in dollars. Attach the last two bank statements.
     If you have personal reference to Panama, submit a letter of reference.
     Purchase Agreement - Sale of property finance.

For legal persons:

     Minutes of Board of Directors or Shareholders authorizing the transaction and designating the person who signed for the Company, with a photocopy of your identity card
     Photocopy of Incorporation
     Photocopy of the single rate of society

These ads are not much different than they are in Canada or the States. Low down payment and drive away with just 72 payments to go. Very easy for low and middle wage earners to go upside down in a car if they lose their job or other circumstances change.

I do not know if an immigrant who is not employed in Panama can be financed here. Another good question for Keith or a bank.

  Short Answer.. NOPE Without a Comprobante de Pago (Wage Slip) , Ficha (CSS Payment Slip) and a Paz y Salvo, you can not get financing from banks.

Not sure where you saw that ad but it looks targeted at people who work in Panama.
