Karl, I brought 2 cats into Panama. It was a lot of paper work, all spelled out in the forms Keith attached. But, I had two practical suggestion for you in addition to all the paperwork you'll need to do (and take care of the dates, you have to get things done within 10 days, but not longer, and consider the entire trip, not just the day you are leaving, as you may have a delay)
First, there is a hormone spray or wipe that you can buy at pet stores or at your vet. You wipe or spray the interior of the carrier. It calms the cats. Ours were quiet the entire trip.
Second, we were asked to put our cats, in their carriers, through the x-Ray machine in Panama. This is a definite NO-NO. It could kill your cats!! Crazy that they even ask. But, the machines are far from mere hospital radiation levels, and not safe for humans or pets. REFUSE. I sent the carriers through, and carried the cats through the magnetometer. I had two, so this was not easy, as the TSA lady said I had to go through with both at once..... one cat got away and had to be chased through the airport. You'll be fine if you only have the one!!!

Sorry, I'm not a fan of Ning, think it's got a crazy layout... not sure how this forum popped up to the top, and now I "helped" it. haha... I'm more a Chiriqui.life person.
I used Panama Pet Relocation Services to bring my kitty to Panama in 2011. Marco was very professional and took care of being sure I had all the right paperwork. It went very smoothly and was well worth the money spent.

Susan, we love our kitty to pieces and she is about 15 yrs old. We plan to bring our old english sheepdog with us on a Copa flight from LA in July. It will be difficult for her in cargo for well over seven hours. Sofie is lucky because she can ride in the cabin. But i feel sorry for everyone who will be around us due to her incessant howling and meowing everytime we take her anywhere. Whats life been like with your kitty where you live? Do you have a house or apt? Do you allow her to go outdoors?thanks--howard and deborah

Howard, my kitty Petey has done great here. He's a big kitty and actually had to go in cargo from Portland, OR. We've now been here 4 years and have rescued him 2 Panamanian "friends." I live in a house in Boquete Canyon Village, and my cats are indoor/outdoor. They like to roam. They do stay inside at night. Dr. Sam at Happy Pets is great with them ... even did surgery on my latest rescue who is white and had skin cancer on her ears. I do dose them every month with Revolution or Advantage for fleas and ticks. Buena suerte!!

What is OP? Did Karl die recently? Does the cat need a home?
