Cell Tower Radiation Dangers, Symptoms And Solutions
Posted by Lloyd Burrell on March 14, 2017
Like mushrooms, cell phone towers have been popping up everywhere over the last 3 decades.
These towers are now omnipresent.
Silently doing their job of keeping us connected.
They route our calls, messages, photos and videos via the Internet.
In fractions of a second these cell phone towers execute a very complex process.
Wonderful.
But of course there is a downside.
Because these towers, in doing their jobs, radiate our homes, schools, workplaces towns cities and countryside with radio frequency microwave radiation. 24/7.
There are those that claim this radiation is harmless.
There are others that claim that these exposures are highly detrimental to our health.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
But there are a growing number of eminent scientists and researchers that are raising the alarm.
One of them is Professor Girish Kumar.
He has a PhD in electrical engineering.
He is a former Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of North Dakota.
He is currently Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Bombay.
He’s been working on hazards of microwave radiation for over a decade.
He’s considered one of the world’s leading experts on cell tower radiation.
Cell Tower Radiation Effects
All cell towers radiate radio frequency microwave radiation.
These exposures have been linked to numerous adverse biological effects including:
- DNA damage
- Effects on Stress proteins
- Blood brain barrier damage
- Calcium ion release from cell membranes
- Risk to children and pregnant women
- Irreversible fertility
- Effects on skin
- Tinnitus and ear damage
- Uveal melanoma
- Weaker bones
- Salivary gland tumor
- Melatonin reduction
- Sleep disorders
- Neurodegenerative diseases
Level Of Exposure
Few people understand the hazards and workings of cell towers like Professor Kumar. There are various factors that come into play, principally:
- radiated power
- pattern of the antenna
The combination of these factors determines your exposure. Your level of exposure determines the health risk.
Interview
Thursday, 16th March at 1:00 p.m. EST (10 AM PST or 6 PM GMT) I’m conducting a LIVE interview with Girish Kumar professor of Electrical Engineering Department at I.I.T. Bombay.
Professor Kumar has written more than 270 papers in the international and national journals and conference proceedings. He has written several reports and given presentations at various forums on cell phones and cell tower radiation hazards and solutions.
He is also the author of two books and has filed 5 patents. His latest booked is entitled Report On Cell Tower Radiation.
It’s a compilation of over 200 scientific peer reviewed studies on cell phone and cell tower radiation hazards. It also looks at the impact on the environment of cell tower radiation – not only humans but birds like sparrows, insects like butterflies and bees, and plants and animals have been affected by cell tower radiation.
The interview will last approximately one hour and it’s FREE to listen to.
We are going to discuss:
- what are the characteristics of cell towers we need to be aware of?
- what are the maximum permitted transmit power levels in the US?
- how to tell where the maximum radiation of a cell tower antenna is directed – just by looking at it
- what’s the safe distance to live from a cell tower?
- what are the solutions for dealing with cell tower radiation?
I’ve chosen the teleseminar format so that you can follow via your computer or using your telephone AND you can ask your questions!
You can do this in 2 ways:
- before the day, by clicking here and sending me your question (if you’re not sure what time the teleseminar starts, the page has a countdown timer.)
- on the day, by putting your question directly to my guest

The only proven brain damage by cell phones is to teenagers who are no longer able to formulate a full and proper English sentence.
This "discussion" is really a thinly veiled business pitch!
This is specifically about cell phones. It's from a medical newsletter I received today.
"
Phone-makers would like you to think the EMFs created by cellphones are perfectly safe. They've done studies that conveniently couldn't find any health risks at all from cellphones.
And the CDC and FDA have played right along, denying there's any evidence that cellphones cause health issues. The problem is that the radiation standards that are currently in place are based on tests that were done in the 1980s. And those standards haven't been updated in more than 20 years.
Independent research tells a different story. The Environmental Working Group (EWG), a non-profit research group analyzed over 200 scientific studies on the dangers of cellphone radiation.2 They found studies showing:
What medical newsletter? Why don't you name your source?
We'd all be dead if this was the case.
As we all remember from grade 12 physics class, the intensity of RF (radio frequency) emissions has a logarithmic relationship to distance. So, the cellphone held next to your head, despite its weak RF output is much more intense than what you will get from being near a tower. The cellphone next to your ear, the router on your desk are much more "dangerous" than a cell tower.
If this phenomenon represented the danger that it purports to, we would all be dead by now. Incidence of brain cancer have not grown in the last decades. https://seer.cancer.gov/statfacts/html/brain.html although there has been huge growth in sources of RF.
There have been hundreds for studies on this since the 1970's - an no link has been established.
The power output of cell tower transmitters is vastly greater than the 3/10 of a watt from your cell phone. The actual emitted power of a cell phone is usually lower than .3 watt. Some are as low as .21 watts/kg. The wattage is so low that it is not thought to be able to affect body tissues. See this:
"Meanwhile, the total power emitted from the cell phone itself ranges from 0.75 to 1 watt. According to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), this is an acceptably safe amount of power for a cell phone since their cut-off or specific absorption rate is only 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg). As a result, the power radiated from a cell phone is considered as non-ionizing as opposed to ionizing. This means that it is safe and causes only a bit of heating as opposed to having enough electromagnetic energy to take apart the makeup of body tissue and trigger chemical reactions like x-rays do. Even so, the long-term effects of cell phone radiation are still not known so its best to just avoid the risks by checking the label the next time you purchase one."
In addition to much higher power output, the transmitters are operating continually and not intermittently like your phone. If you are a long distance from a tower,, then the flux density of the radiation is not very great. But the closer you are the higher it is.
Mr. Kumar obviously did not just climb down off a load of turnips and begin pontificating on microwave radiation. His most recently released book contains a compilation of 200 scientific, peer-reviewed papers about microwave radiation. How many such papers have any of you experts even read?
Bob,
I've read much of the science behind this issue, but do not claim to be a subject matter expert on the issue. Hopefully, I meet your minimum threshold of eruditeness to share my opinion here on the matter.
What I do know is that the overwhelming body of peer-reviewed research on this topic since the 1970's shows absolutely no link between cancer or other negative health outcomes and the presence of cell phone towers. If such a link did exist, we would have seen this reflected already in the health outcomes in the general population.
So, I am not the one saying Dr. Kumar's hypothesis is wrong, the current scientific consensus does. In addition, the fact that we have not seen overall increases in the maladies listed above in gen pop tells us the current scientific consensus is in line with reality.
It is somewhat strange though to see Governments around the world make a big deal about e.g. carbon monoxide emissions, eating too much sugar etc. while keeping mum about dangers from cell phone tower radiation.
Another "conspiracy theory" in the making?
I'm also very weary of anything promised on a conditional basis ("if you subscribe to my newsletter", "Free for 24 hours").
But to each his/her own....
You are correct. No link has been established, and there have been thousands, not hundreds, of studies since the 70's.
So what are we supposed to do about it? MoviStar came and put up a cell tower in my neighborhood, and nobody asked us for permission, or had a hearing about it, or told us about it in advance. It's not like in the U.S. where neighbors are given a chance to protest putting up a cell tower. There is no request for public commentary here. They just do what they want.
Been through this drill.
