The full 18 holes at Cielo opens this Monday June 6th. The new rates are $65+tax inc cart. They are offering a 15 round package for the price of 10, getting the price of a round down around $47 and other pkgs of 3-5-7 round discounts of which I don't have the details.
I'm personally looking forward to playing the full 18.
The problem is,and always has been, is the developers themselves. Here it is June 2011 . The road is still dangerous, so they patched a couple of holes. They got ripped off by the Contractor. There are twelve houses and 11 for sale. Get a hint, if every person that built a house is trying to sell, there are major problems. this course has been under construction with excuse after excuse for the past five years.
There are only 9 holes completed after all this time. There is no clubhouse and the hotel has not been started. No duplex villas, People who have built out there have their houses up for sale. The road to get to the course is the worst in this part of the area. So to drive to play an unfinished course for $80 - $120 over a road that will send you to a chiropractor doesn't seem like much of a bargain.
Recently some buyers who tried to buy a lot were confused when the Owner/Developer was so inebriated The buyers had no idea what she was saying. There are about ten lots for sale at thousands of dollars below what the original buyers paid for.
Some salty old golf pro that wants to know your family history before you walk into the door.
Do your homework before you buy a lot here there may be some major tax problems and accusations of tax fraud
Sandeep and Colleen , you can keep buying off the owners with expensive dinners once month and fresh cut flowers every week. When the truth is know this project, it will be on the fire sale block , along with many other Panama/Boquete projects. It is a shame, a good idea, but the management.Hasn't got a clue how to deal with the real world. Many Real Estate promoters in the International Market will no longer be associated with Cielo Paraiso.

It seems that no matter what optimism is offered on this blog there are some people who just choose to be contrary.
What the heck --- the course will be finished and it might go completely private and then no more complaining would be necessary!!! I will be pleased to play the course before that day arrives!
I played there today and other than being wet it was great. It truly is a championship course. With the current owners death there may be some changes like lowering green fees. It's better every week
