Hi there!
Some wandering friends have just continued on from their time in Boquete (onwards further south on their adventures!) and pared down their clothes to make travelling easier. I have a stash of clothes for men, women, 8yo old girl, and 3yo boy.
Is there anywhere that I can donate these clothes - I was wondering if Buenos Vecinos collected clothes, or if there was another organization interested in these kinds of donations?
Gracias,
Annie

Amigos de Animales is having their Venta de Patio on September 14. We are also accepting donations of not only clothes, but housewares, linens, appliances, just about anything others want to get rid of. This event is greatly anticipated by the local Panamanians as we offer great items at great prices.
I am saying this here, not as a competitor of the FPI, but as a supporter. At the end of our sale, we generally donate most of our left over clothing to other local charities. At the end of Bid4Boquete last year, we gave away several truckloads of clothes that had not sold for FPI to use in their future sales.
My point is that we have many worthy charities all working together which is a wonderful thing! We may support different causes, but all add to the quality of life here in Boquete.
Here's a recent Permit from Toronto. Check the obligatory French translation. (in a City where 50 or more languages other than French are spoken)
$.02 Two cents. I really prefer seeing the 'Pro-Integracion' name used for the Foundation. I'm not big on political correctness, but we quit using the term 'handicapped' eons ago in Canada in favor of words like 'challenged'. Even worse was the label 'menosvalidos' that is still used in Costa Rica. (less valid)
Hello, at our handicap foundation we are having a clothes sale on August the 16th and will give a good use to your donations. We are located in Alto Boquete, blue building with red roof, after you pas km 5 marker on the highway to heading to David. Just before where they are building the new clinic. Thank you.
