Competent Attorney in David or Bouquete/Bank that you would Reccommend

Hi,

I'm looking for a very good, competent attorney who can handle all of my
questions concerning the Forestry Residency Program. Maybe someone
in this group has had experience in this area. Also, I need recommendations
for a good bank in David or Bouquete. Good experiences, bad experiences,
I would like to hear them all.

*When you all mean that a bank isn't "good", what kind of problems are we talking about?
No need to list a particular bank, just wondering what you mean by problems.

*Also where can I read more about the panamanian libel and slander laws?

I have heard generalities of the law, would like to read the specifics, as I wonder if similar legislation could be adopted where I am now. I agree about people watching what they say or accuse, without factual evidence. Sad to see where some just give false witness and creates great harm.

*I have heard it is best to open a bank account using a panamanian corporation and an attorney to set it up. Is that a good idea? Some attorney's are offering to set everything up even before you get to Panama. I am hesitant to recomend or do such a thing, unless highly recommended from someone I trust and have yet to get such a recommendation other than what I have read here.

It sounds like the lawyers of Panama are way too similar to many/most found in the states. How unfortunate for everyone but the attorney's...But when they do help, when there is that ethical passionate attorney they can certainly balance the scales if needed, assuming they do there job and the system works as it should.
