Apparently Ariadna Hernandez, a highly responsive English speaking agent who has worked with us for at least 7 years from the David CTO, has left; and COPA is scrambling to staff the office.
The current staff has a limited command of English.
In addition, I at least have had major difficulties accessing the CM website via Firefox for several weeks, and today via Safari. So it is a major hassle to make travel plans at the moment.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to obtain the Jubilado descuento directly from the website (when it is functioning), or have an alternative suggestion for efficient travel planning?

Ah! Interesting history! She did tell me "there is only one Anavilma"... I like that attitude! (Because of course with a unique name one has to live up to one's reputation---which she does, at least on this ning!)
And just FWIW, an English speaking agent named "Johnny" did get back with me from CM-David, so they do seem to be repairing their act. I do worry, though, when a longterm and very efficient and responsive employee suddenly disappears from a fairly high profile job. I hope she lands well.
I think Anavilma charges $20, but it's well worth it for her contacts and bilingualism.
