If you are watching your money that close. Why dont you take the bus up to Boquete for $15.00 and then hop on a Boquete bus at the bus station for a couple of bucks. You will save about $130.00 probably.

  Bus to Boquete from David is $15??? I don't think so. The last time I checked it was $1.75.

Always take your chances,

Get in the cab and say like "20 por el aeropuerto, esta bien?", sometime he says yes, sometimes he'll say "25"...

I have never paid 30 in 7 years.

Also best thing is to have a designated cab, I have one who charges me 20 for picking me up, then I often gave him 25 because he had to wait for me, and because he has a 4 by 4 and accept to drive me to my door.

Usually around $30 from Boquete to David Airport, although if it is too many people or too much luggage, you may pay around $35

You might also consider taking a taxi from the airport to the bus terminal in David roughly $3 and then take the school bus up to Boquete for $1.75.

    I will NEVER ride with someone else in the taxi other than the driver. They do that in PC and that's when people are robbed. Someone else gets in, I get out.
    
    If you were charged $8.00 you were ripped off, Gringo pricing, happens all the time. There are many decent taxi drivers in David. I've had the same driver for over 5 years. He does not speak English, but he is learning.
    
    Before we found Jose, our wonderful driver, we always asked what the fare was to a certain point. It has gone up in the last 7 years, but not that much. You can still go from one side of town to the other for about $3.00 or less.

    Wow -- interesting and good to know because I've taken taxis from the terminal out to very close to the airport and it was $3.00 and the same going back. Thanks for the update!!
