EGADS!Just got stung by a scorpion on my finger! Damn, this hurts...sitting still, alternating between having my hand in rubbing alcohol and iced salt water. Any other remedies? Please advise (and share your Panamanian scorpion stories so I know I'm not alone...typing one-handed, obviously.)

Hi! Thank you everyone for your kind replies regarding the scorpion sting, and here's an update now that I can type.
:-) I can still see the mark where the bugger got me, and the finger is still sensitive but in the way your finger might feel after burning it on a stove. The remedies that worked best for me based on what was in my house (I wasn't going anywhere!) were that immediately I took two Benedryl and ran my finger under hot water all the while pressing a finger fro...m the other hand to act as a tourniquet, hopefully to keep the toxin from spilling into my bloodstream. That was gut instinct and may have done nothing... I then crammed straight salt into the wound all the while repeating, "Osmosis! Osmosis!" Again, gut instinct. This was my first (and hopefully, last) scorpion sting and I was home alone at the time, so I did the best I could. I then tried my best to calm down as again I didn't want the toxin to be carried through my bloodstream. I called Daniel who asked our staff what they do for scorpions and they said to soak in water with salt and ice. A friend on FB had a good idea to use Epsom salts, which I also have. I then saw the suggestions regarding apple cider vinegar, so I alternated between soaking in rubbing alcohol, apple cider vinegar and soaking in the salt/ice bath till my fingers were water wrinkled! When a person hurts that much, they will try virtually anything! It took all day for it to begin to chill out but at least I didn't get the body twitches I've seen Daniel go through when he has been stung (many times, so maybe that's accumulative...) Finally, Wendy Daves Selvig, who is a certified aromatherapist, offered to bring some Thieves oil with clove/eucalyptus/lemon peel/cinnamon bark oil & rosemary oil. I could feel it penetrating the wound and the scent alone really helped to calm me down, so much so that I took a nice nap, relieving me of my misery! Anyway, I want to thank all who wrote to reassure me - you helped. I really appreciate it. 
Ice and Benadryl. Always keep Benadryl in the house for stings and allergic reactions of any kind.

I would use an anti-histamine, something like benadryl. A common symptom is that your tongue will go to sleep.
@Karl. You are right. Anti histamine tablets can be bought without a prescription at pharmacies in Boquete and are cheap. Some people might have some side effects, so google it first. We have the tablets at home, as well as in our car.
First put Gruber's concentrate oil on it. I use it for all bites and stings. Second, put Redmond clay (Green Clay) on it to draw out the toxin (the same clay you use for facials). I have done this for people and it works. I also have an essential oil I use for pain and inflammation before the clay is applied. Come by and see me at the market on Tues.

beware of the kind of scorpion. my girlfriend was stung and went into septic shock in 15 minutes. I rushed her to the clinic and they gave her a 2 hour iv drip with antibiotics. most people don't know if they are allergic.
Try whisky instead of rubbing alcohol. But caution - to be used internally only!

Ive been nailed twice by big blackish yellow comboed critters.......and not only does it hurt like hell and last for days, but the first time it made me dizzy and turned my legs to jello. The second time my finger was numb for days..........I went back the next day and leverage up that big rock and found awhole colony of scorpions there.......and took my vengeance.......jaja
