I just want to commend the workers at the driver's license place yesterday on renewing my license for another 4 years. Walked in just at 1pm. The place was empty. Paperwork, vision and hearing test and out of there with a smile in 15 minutes. Excellent service and attention. I marked the paper survey given to me at the end with all excellent.
Unlike this poor lady in the video, does this look familiar ?

Thanks for the chuckles! The David office seems to function more efficiently than many other government offices we've had to deal with - assuming there are not a lot of people waiting. The day I got my license, all went very smoothly until I had to pay - only to discover that the cashier had gone to lunch, and I had to wait an hour until she returned to pay the fee! Big time job security :)
After 10 years living in Panama, my wife wanted to relocate back to the U.S. This video is simple compared to trying to get a National ID card aka drivers license in the U.S. With a valid Fl drivers license, I had to present a passport, DD214, ORIGINAL social security card and a utility bill from the address where we were living. I suspect after the Paris attack more will be coming.....
So while I am per the test results, completely deaf, they told me I had to return the next day to retake the test per their policy. When they saw me come in, they immediately took me in and I let them put on the headsets that time...
All in all a great experience.
Motor Vehicle office is usually pretty good here in David, that being said, I have encountered similar treatment as shown in this YouTube video:

Most I am told have a good experience, unless you do not dress to code.
