When one visits Panama does your GPS along with Mapquest or Google Maps on your phone still work? Hoping I don't have to go back in time and start printing out maps and directions again. lol

When you are planning a trip across Panama, I would use your download offline option. You can also cut and paste the written directions. As in many mountainous areas, internet data can be offline at any given time.
Wow, here in the states people would be so pissed off if it took them 2 hours to drive a net 16 miles. lol We are so looking forward to it with all the new things to be learned and seen, want to make a day trip to a beach somewhere as well. Any suggestions, thanks so much Jim!
It'll be quicker when they complete the road from Palmira to Potrerillos as shown in the photos below. You won't have to drive down to Dolega any longer.
Don't expect to find civic addresses in Boquete or many other places in Panama. I've used MapFactor on my tablet around Panama city and was sent the wrong way into one-way streets I don't really how many times...cuidado!

I'm sure the whole address thing can make for some interesting trips, this time my main goal is just to find towns. (Boquete, Volcan, Bugaba, places like that.) gracias!
No problem and a great help for finding towns. Just make sure that when finding your way out of larger towns like PTY, David etc. you double check before following the GPS "advice" to turn into a one-way street from the wrong end...
