normally it would be the first week of january...like the 5 to the 11...It is not such a big deal though

It lasts 10 days starting on a Thursday and ending 10 days later on Sunday. Given these Thursday-Sunday parameters it's usually about the middle 10 days of the month of January. Google a 2013 calendar and you can figure it out.

Of course, one can still go back now (and we have twice) to enjoy all the lovely flowers since they keep them up for a long time. Added bonus of avoiding all the loud music and vendors if you're not into shooping for shoes, purses and clothing.
