Where is Alto Boquete, in relationship to downtown Boquete, or Volcancito etc. Thanks. panamajames@gmail.com

Alto Boquete is on the main road to Bajo Boquete (which is Boquete really). It is about 7 minutes driving time from Alto Boquete to Bajo Boquete.

Hello:

My name is Arthur, a retiree living in San Diego, and plan to be in Chiriqui the last week of this month. I may be interested in renting your place IF it is conveniently located within walking distance to Centro Boquete for shopping and public transportation. Please send me details about this rental and contact information.

Kindest regards,

Arthur

Arthur - it is very convenient to shopping and town. It close to a French bakery, a restaurant and a Chinese grocery and hardware store (has just about everything). The buses and taxis are constantly driving by on the main road to Bajo Boquete at a cost of 0.50 cents for bus or $2.00 max for taxi.

How long would you be interested in renting for?

My minimum stay would be (1) month, but more than likely I would be staying for (2). Please tell me exactly what kind of living arrangements are involved here. Is this a separate private apt, casita, guest house or condo, OR rental in the same household with another individual? The (2) bathrooms have me confused. I prefer a place that provides privacy. Also does this rental have a small cocina & refrigerator for light cooking? And please don't let my appearance frighten you, its an old photo and I only look this way when the moon is full, and/or when neighbors piss-me-off playing loud music.

Kindest regards, Arthur

Looking at your ad again, I suddenly realized that the "$300" price tag in your ad does (not) specify if this rate is; Per Day, Per Week, or Per Month. Please clarify.....

Alpine Art....this is $300 per month and the unit is completely private. It is an apartment with a dining room (which I use as an office), a kitchen (with fridge stove and microwave as well as dishes and pots and pans), a living room, a large bedroom and two bathrooms (one off the bedroom and one off the living room). The house is completely furnished with dining table, sofas, cable tv and tv, internet, bed etc. You need towels and sheets....that's it. There is a covered terrace in front to either park your car or use for outside living. This is a house attached to another house where the actual landlord lives but it is completely private. Two months might actually work very well.

This sounds like the perfect place for me if it is within walking distance to centro Boquete because I will not be renting a car. Please clarify the following, if Centro Boquete is located in Bajo Boquete, then this means that Centro Boquete is not within walking distance to Alto Boquete (where the rental is) and that it will be necessary for me to bus or taxi for every shopping trip. Also, its my understanding that hurricane "Ida" has turned Boquete into a disaster area with the flooding and mud-slides, and everyone in Boquete is walking around knee-deep in mud. What is the current condition and expected condition of Boquete by the end of this month? Thank you for your assistance.

Alto Boquete is not within walking distance and as I mentioned before, you can do shopping almost right in front of the house as there is a grocery store, hardware store, french bakery and restaurant....right there. But if you want to go to town, buses are 50 cents. Taxis about $1.00 or max $2.00.

No Boquete is not a disaster area...there are a couple of "spots" like Valle Escondido which have been suffering damage but the media (or whoever you heard the news from) tends to blow everything out of proportion. Ida has long left but we are in rainy season and it is raining outside now. I am still going to go into town to wine and dine !
