Saka Saka is great, we have used them for 8 years -- two years after we moved in and were told our septic tanks were so big we didn't need to worry for at least five years.  Not true, like you Bob our house was gurgling (mainly due to old t-shirts, shoes etc., in the pipe to the septic tank left courtesy of our building crew.  We now call them yearly, needed or not -- gurgling houses (especially in the shower) are not good.  Office no. is 721-1243 -- we're due to call them for our annual "saka saka".  They also clean out our grease trap for a little extra.

How do you know when your septic tank needs cleaning?  I don't know what gurgling is.  What is gurgling, the toilet?  Please explain.

Judy, you will definitely know when your septic tank needs emptying -- 8 or 9 years ago I was doing a load of clothes in the washing machine, the machine emptied and "brown stuff" came up through two of the three shower drains in our house!!  As I said, we're really not quite "that full of sh--" even at our worst it would have been difficult to fill up the septic tank in the year or so we were here, but thanks to "regalos" (old t-shirts, odd shoes, Abuelo bottles etc.) left in the pipe by the builders, this contributed to the backup.  Saka Saka will also roto rooter the pipes to the septic tank if you think you have a problem there.

 ..........Or, if you are up to it you can just lift the cover of your septic tank and look to see how full it is!!

As a "professional checker" (note Wry, I did not say professional plumber -- but da nose knows) it's actually "Icky, Eeewwwwww, Nasty, Smelly, Stinky, Stinky -- Time To Call Saka Saka" Syndrome.  Been there done that -- don't want to do it again -- now I just call Saka Saka once a year whether "I need to or not".

Did you ask them to clean out the lines when they originally came??  If you just asked them to "Saka Saka", (Take Out, Take Out) that is all they will do.  The first time they came I explained the problem (in my then extremely limited Spanish).  As we would say in Scotland -- "they poomped, they sooked and they scoowerd", end of problem, no more "brown stuff gurgling out of the shower drains".  If you just told them to empty the septic tank, then that's all they would do -- give 'em another call, tell them you still have a problem and could they please roto rooter the line.  New construction can I ask??  Could possibly be half a bag of cement left in the pipe when they were digging the septic tank -- or a worker who complained too much to el jefe (large pipe, small worker).  LOL.
