SENAFRONT has increased their man power alongside the Costa Rica - Panama border in order to prevent and fight the rising gang activity, traffic of weapons and ammunitions, drugs, thefts, etc.
According to the article, the activity originates mostly from David and takes place along the border where gang members with dual citizenship have easy access to both sides and launder money, traffic with drugs and weapons and other crimes.
The increase in SENAFRONT responds to the upcoming Holiday season which is always busier for businesses along the border.
