First, we have been in our house over 6 weeks with no sign of any insects. Having said that a week ago I opened the cupboard under the kitchen sink and saw what looked like spilled salt. The previous owner had left all kinds of cleaning supplies under the sink so I didn't think anything about it. Pulled everything out and vacuumed it all up. Today I opened a cupboard next to the cupboard under the sink. It is a narrow cupboard for baking sheets and cutting boards. Low and behold, there was the same white salt looking stuff. It was mostly on the bottom of the cupboard but a few were stuck to the sides. Of course, being a clean freak. I again took out everything and vacuumed. I checked all the other cupboards on the floor and they were clean. I should have taken a picture. Anyway, I decided that it has to be some kind of insect eggs. However, they are absolutely white, all the same size about the size of salt, hard and round. They were scattered everywhere and although I could not count them, there were at least a hundred. With the flashlight I looked everywhere for any other signs and could not find anything. Anybody out there have an idea for me? I went and spent a hour on Google doing searches for identifying but got nowhere. Next time I will take a picture.

These are termite eggs. It really doesn't look like salt. Droppings are dark.
