According to El Nuevo Herald ( a division of The Miami Herald, main news outlet in Miami), the defense of ex-president Ricardo Martinelli just presented the Federal Court with documents indicating that Harry Diaz based his request for extradition on false testimonies and evidence on the phone tapping case. By the way, this is the only case they have presented with alleged evidence, no case or evidence for theft, money laundering or others have been formally presented against the ex-president.
If accepted by the Court and determined to be true, the entire case against ex-president Martinelli could be dismissed and Mr. Diaz could face perjury charges in the US.
The saga continues as Martinelli continues in the Miami Federal Detention Center awaiting for the Judge to make a decision on his bail and overall validity of the case.

Martinelli has "not been charged" with any criminal offense in the USA ..to date.
Olga could you explain the debt issue a bit better please? Am I interpreting it correctly? Sure, with inflation (which weve seen plenty in recent years) everything costs more, but unless the interest rates on the previously existing debt have gone up raising the overall debt load, how is it that Varela could have incurred much more debt than Martinelli who initiated countless huge projects which required a lot of borrowed capital from many different sources? (How much from China? What % of the Panamanian debt has been financed by China? That would be interesting to know........
Because she's stupid. Supports a greedy corrupt fleer of Panama.
Why do some support flagrant criminals?
