Invasion of flying ants

Does anyone have any suggestions about dealing with an invasion of flying ants?

We had the outside of the house professionally sprayed 2 days ago, but are still getting invaded - mainly by big (inch long) flying black ants, but also by much smaller ones, both of which then shed their wings.

Using Raid kills them, but they are back the next night.

We didn't have such an on-going problem in previous years - is this just a bad year?

We get them every year. I have garden doors with no screens. I just set a table lamp on the terrace with a bright incandescent bulb as a decoy. It keeps almost all out of the house. Before I close up for the night, I turn out all the inside light and wait 10 minutes then turn off the lamp and close the doors. It keeps the big beetles out, too. Good luck!

I do not like spraying, as it kills the gueko's and not good for me or my dogs, so the solution I use is to leave the light in my entry way on and use the citronella oil lamps in the rest of the house. All the flying bugs are attracted to the entry way so none in the rest of the house. In the morning it only takes a minute or so to clean up the million dead flying bugs. The oil lamps do not attract them so all the rest of the house is bug free.
This is only going to last for about another 2 to 3 weeks then we will be back to almost no bugs. The huge ones are May flys, the smallest are termites, the media ones are ants.

    Sorry missed your question, in do it center, in garden section, second isle at the end, near the hoses on the top shelf clear. It is called tiki oil but works great in lamps and does not smell strong. Also at novey

I do not profess to being an expert in this field, but we had termites in Hong Kong, and these are, in my opinion, ants - big black ants - but whatever they are, we would like to stop them coming!
