Let hope that he do it right. We have not been so lucky with our athletes in this Olimpic Games.
I had sadly to admit that we expect much from our athletes and they do not have any support from the government and private companies.

Did you hear El Presidente saying on TV that he was going to build the boxer , Juan Hurtas ( sp?) a house. What do you think of that? I am excited to watch Saladino manana ( even though I am supposed to be at work!).

Diane:
Yes our Presidente used his most beloved communication way, twitter, to tell that he will help to build the boxer a better house because . He is a very poor young man trying to be in the sport he loved with no help.
I really think that it is good that kind of action to a young man who despite his economic situation he chose to be in a very demanding sport, even with no help, instead of be hanging out with a gang commiting crimes. I for sure dont mind if my taxes are being used for such a noble cause. That young man is a true warrior.
Well I hope that Saladino do well. His last jump was in Monaco and he won that competition about two weeks before the Olimpic Games. I hope that he is well of his injuries and his knee is well to repeat and win the gold for Panama. This little country deserves that.

Dave and I are Big Olympics fans..had been very excited to see such a star from Panama today...what a sad thing to see those 3 xs
Roger , you mentioned some knee and injury problems he has had?
Yes. He suffered a severe injury in his knee. A problem with the ligaments that needed some special operations. But he did well in the Monaco Competition. I guess that stress also played hard on his performance.
Anyways he is still our champion and he gave Panama the first and only gold medal in the Olympics.
