Cool, Green and the best Coffee in the world
We are debating whether to bring our Big Green Egg when we move in a couple of months. If lump charcoal is not available we will probably leave it home :(
Thanks
Dennis

The local charcoal is charred chucks of wood. Less expensive, but harder to get started. I use a combination of both and it works out nicely. Fill your Green Egg with a couple of hundred pounds of your favorite stuff before shipping?
Permalink Reply by Dennis Griffin on April 28, 2012 at 5:08am lump charcoal is essentially 'charred chucks of wood'. Assuming it is a good quality it burns much better then briquets and is exactly what I need for the BGE.

Permalink Reply by JWG on April 28, 2012 at 8:08am You can usually buy Cowboy brand lump at Novey's in David. They also have a pretty good selection of Weber tools and hard wood chunks. As with many things here in Panama, it is best to maintain a large personal stash of items important to your life style.
I have had my BGE here in Panama for 6 years and would not be without it. However, procurring tender beef is difficult.
