My husband and I have asked a young Panamanian guy to spend some ‘conversation time’ with us to help consolidate what we learned at Habla Ya. He speaks English well, takes his role seriously, will come to the house about 3 times a week for 90 minutes. We want to compensate him but we’re at a loss re: setting his wage.
Is there a rule of thumb or a precedent? All guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Most of the local Panamanians charge $5 to $8 an hour.
Don´t be fooled by foreigners that charge $20 to $25 per hour even thugh Spanish is not their native language.
Thank you Nancy!
