Dorothy at La Jungla in Palmira helps us to foster some dogs. This is a kind effort since she has plenty of work - and no money. And we are desperate in need for fosterhomes.I ask you please to help with dogfood. You could either bring it direct to Palmira - or this Sunday to our stand at the Chiriqui fleamarket. The dogs are well cared for and happy. Just need food.Thank you.

Thanks Susan and Pat. Marion has been in contact with me by email and I told her that I would help with food regardless, because the dogs should not go hungry....but, I would like to hear from Dorothy either through Marion or directly so that I could make arrangements to pick up my equipment that is sequestered there. If I can do that I will make sure no dog ever goes hungry at La Jungla. I have not been up there on my own property for over a year due to the strained relationship between Dorothy and us, but I am offering an olive branch. Belinda and I always tried to help Dorothy over the years and most people know that, but what we got in return was very unkind and hurtful. Marion is waiting to hear back from Dorothy and hopefully we will be able to get food delivered to the dogs and maybe I can pick up my equipment. Scott
Dear Marion, This is Scott McAda. Belinda and I adopted Kozi from you and I have donated to you in the past to help buy food for the good work that you do. Thanks again. The email I sent to Dorothy last week is copied below. I have not heard back from Dorothy or you. Maybe you can reach out to Dorothy. I will raise my contribution to $200 to help feed the dogs that are being kept at our property in Palmira that is occupied by Dorothy Howes. I will give you the money. My only request is that Dorothy allow me to enter the premises to collect my personal property...my welding machine and the large Coleman generator that I need to run the welder. These items got trapped inside the property and I don't have access to them. It would cost me over $1,200.00 te replace these two items. I sure appreciate your help and the work that you do. Dorothy,
I see on Ning that Marion is requesting Dog Food for La Jungla. If you will allow me to come pick up my welding machine and Coleman Generator I will bring you $100 worth of dry dog food. I can deliver the food and pick up the generator and welding machine on one trip.
What should I have done with the dogs after the OP . I only voluntarily brought them back where they came from. Do you understand I had no other option!!!
Blame the people who keep bringing animals there!!! Shame on them!
And where is ARF?
Makes me sad. You and others dont know where I pick up animals to get them spayed, you do Not see the places to which I have to bring them BACK after the OP.
I only can keep on doing what I do - pick up animals to be sterilized , yes , shit yes, and bring them back ! Breaks my heart every time ,believe me!
Susan . We are going in circles here.
I am now in the middle of a battle - a battle the persons should fight who brought dogs to La Jungla! Although Dorothy should come out in the public.
I went to La Jungla to pick up dogs to get them into our clinic. I am not in favor to bring dogs to La Jungla. But what should I have done after they got operated?
We have no foster homes!
The only we can do is - feed the dogs, bring them to adoption events. this what is needed!!
If you you are interested in the well being of this dogs. Please pick them up next Sunday and bring them to the Chiriqui Storage flea market. There the Hoogerkamps and me will have an adoption stand. I bring in 4 kittens and a bunch of dogs -.
coming all the way from Potrerillo Arriba - Palmira is for me a long way to go. .
Ok people. I knew Pfyfer , I know those stories. Fact is that people brought dogs to La Jungla (not me) . I felt it my obligation to get them spayed. I picked them up , I brought them back. What I saw was ok - the "old mans " foster home is worse.
People, if you have another option, other foster homes where to bring them . Wonderful, I would be the first to pick these dogs up and bring them to another home!! . But I do not put them back on the street! Give me an alternative!!
I shelter in my home 9 dogs, plus 7 dogs at Guillermo's the "old mans " place. I have my hand full.
