Las Trancas, Boquete?

Hello, lovely people!

I would like to hear your opinions - good and bad - of the Las Trancas area.  Considering renting a place there, and just wondering what are the pros & cons.

My husband & I will be in Boquete (our first trip) from 2/5 - 2/9, and we'd love to meet with other expats while there, if anyone is available. We plan to move in late March or early April, so we will soon be neighbors.

Watch the road to where ever you are renting.  The road into that area is brutal....whether entered across from the old Las Ruinas Restaurant...or down the street.  And...listen to what Keith mentioned about the water.

Good location, warmer and breezier than town. As with anywhere in Alto Boquete, a good reserve water system is important.
