Am suspicious of why they have so many deaths unless people had heart attacks or were drunk and drove into hazards on the golf course. But regardless golf carts offer much more protection than bicycles and youngsters are permitted to ride them in traffic and reach really high speeds. Of course they are not as safe as cars but they are not capable of high speeds. I don't think they should be legal outside of residential and low speed areas with Alto Boquete being an obvious problem. I spent much of my youth hanging out on golf course watching drunks race around like lunatics but the worst I ever saw was a kart In a water hazard.
If it is in Florida I found it-estimated ay 50,000 golf carts. Lots of articles about golf cart accidents, but also states they aré legal on low speed limit roads in 46 US states. Many of the accidents aré because kids and elderly, drunks and people hanging arms and legs outside the car. Keith is right cars are safer but there are are reasons for their booming popularity on US streets. If safety were the dominant theme why is Cadillac being allowed to build a car this year capable of 200 mph top speed,
The Villages is a huge complex in northern central Florida near Ocala. Population is about 120,000. It has been the fastest growing city in the nation. People can get around on golf carts. It is designed for retirees.
It's really very simple. Some vehicles, like cars and trucks, are designed and built for roadways and have corresponding safety requirements. Golf carts are built for use around golf courses and lack most required safety equipment. Jim, Boquete is not The Villages, gracias a dios, where there have been over 20 golf cart fatalities in the past eight years.
Hi Pete or Keith, I found the golf cart and a way to get the cart back all in Boquete. Do you have a number with whatsup or a US number I can call you to give you the info? Thanks.

This is getting off topic. Golf carts aren't legal in Panama on the street.

From reading this I get that you have to have a driver's license to drive a quad. Correct?
A quad could be considered like a motorcycle so it would be a Type B license.
