It seems that our gardener knows in advance what the weather is going to be. Is it just local lore or is there a radio station that has a local forecast?

What about this Drumming for Rain conspiracy in Boquete know one told us about? Ever notice the parallels between Drum Practice and Rainfall? We usually start to hear Drumming about this time of year just as winter starts and it begins to rain on a daily basis. Drum practice then intensifies in tandem with the quantity of water from the skies right up until the big marathon independence Day Drum Parade on November 28th, which usually seems to be the wettest day of the year.
If you look at the clouds you have a fairly good idea. If the clouds are moving from North, the Caribbean to South, toward David there may be Bajareque, but no real rain. If they are moving from the south, rom David, the Pacific, there maybe rain. If there are no clouds to move it is easy to predict

Did you mean "Wenn der Hahn kräht auf dem Mist,
so ändert das Wetter oder bleibt wie es ist"
In the British Virgin Islands the local radio station sign on was "Whether you do or whether you don't, oft depends on the weather"
My observation:
If it is sunny in the morning, it will rain in the afternoon.
If it is cloudy in the morning, it will be sunny in the afternoon.
These observations are only good when it is the Invierno (rainy) season
This is based on 15 years of observation in Boquete.
If the Robins are singing, it will rain.

Okay Lee, thanks. Sorta like a rock on a string. If it is wet, it is raining. If it has a shadow, the sun is out. If it is swaying, it is windy.

Too Much. Thanks.
Exactly and if you have years of experience you can tell that if the wind made the tree fall it was a big wind. :)
