Mexican Drug Wars Affecting Boquete?

Greetings intrepid expats and locals. I am curious to know if the increased violence in Mexico associated with drug smuggling along the US border that has been in the US news lately has affected your lives in Boquete. Do you perceive increasing instability in Mexico as a threat to your way of life? Thank you.

THey certainly affect my life!!! It may not be the Mexicans but whoever it is, they have small single engined aircraft that fly around the mountain around midnight with no lights on, presumably dropping little parcels for their friends on the ground. I couldn't give a d...m about them but I very concerned that one of them might crash land on my property!!!!!!!!!!!! If you think I am crazy, sit out out for a few nights and listen carefully - there are no night flying facilities in this area!
