I am closing this with this last comment from Keith
"The Police are looking for the woman. They were at her (unpaid) rental house in big numbers the other day. The place was cleaned out, keys locked in the truck, and poor old Skipper (her dog) was abandoned."
This was a case of someone who rented a truck and did not return or pay for it, not a missing person.
Dave has posted saying she returned the rental and was seen entering her rental house.
She didn't return the truck. It was a recovery operation.
The truck can't be re-rented either because of country-wide APBs so Dave just keeps on losing on this deal.
does anyone know or have any idea where she is???? Did she leave the country?? Has anyone checked where she was living to see if all of her belongings are gone???

Yowza! What a great way to start the holiday weekend! Yummy lol
I've got a hunch ...
On the other hand, its good that when someone in Boquete is presumed missing, there are plenty of folks willing to pitch in and help, as has been proven a few times recently. I'd rather waste my time calling the embassy over some flaky ex-con than not call and risk inaction at a critical moment. To me this shows the same community responsibility that made the neighbor chase after (and catch!) the recent robbers in Alto Boquete, Lee/Fran's donation of moderator duties here on ning, and the big turnout at the vigil last week. We are a community, we have a responsibility to each other.
Too bad the truck wasn't fully paid for though, that sucks.
The truck was fully paid for. The rental was not.
