I need a tree trimmer who can trim branches growing into electrical power lines. These branches are causing power outages to our subdivision during storms, of which there are no shortage this time of year.
This trimming is NOT the responsibility of Union Fenosa, and their crew will not trim these branches, even at our expense.
Does anybody have a contact for someone who is capable and able to coordinate with UF so that nobody gets electrocuted? English-speaking would be a huge plus.

Doug, this perplexing and definitely NOT a DIY job. Even if you(or your contractor) managed to avoid death, I wonder what the liability would be if the lines came down or shorted for long enough to spike power into someone's house and cause damage? Scary thought for sure.
Yeah, I know. I've had my daredevil days but this one is too scary for me. Frankly, there are lots of little kids who play along the driveway, and the wet trees poking through the power lines are not a healthy thing for them, either.
Right now, it looks like we found someone who will attempt it, but only during the next power failure. So, I'm in the odd position of hoping for another power failure before too long.
Hi Doug,
I really have had nothing but problems with UF - don’t want to jinx it because for some reason our power bills are finally OK after years of problems.
The only thing I can think of is that you mentioned you live in a community. Does UF provide service to the street only? Is your community responsible after that?
If yes, then my suggestion would be to discuss with your neighbors - they must have the same issues.
UF has a ZERO problem where I live hacking trees, tying up the road with tree stumps and not notifying when they are going to do this! They do hire a contractor, but don’t recall the name now but wouldn’t recommend them anyway.
I cannot offer a solution of any one who coordinates with UF - even an attorney won’t get involved! I will recommend someone who won’t just hack nice trees. I will look up the name if this is of interest.
I wish I could help more - UF has taken thousands from us over the years!
