I need a mechanic that can work on a car like mine.
"electro mecanico" they are called in spanish.
My car has been in the shop for 4 months!!! I really need to find a mechanic that knows what he's talking about and is honest about it. If it's going to take you a week to get the job done, then please don't make me wait a month before you even start to work on it.....long story. Maybe i'll vent later ;)
So if anybody knows of a guy they could recommend, i'd really appreciate it.
I hope my car is good to go after this but i still would like to find a guy that can replace the one that's currently working on my car in the event that i'll need him.
can be in boquete or david, i'm not picky.
Thank you!!

Amanda, we also have a Nissan Xterra 2000 and are looking for a mechanic. Will be interested in what you find out. Need someone who knows brakes - every place we've taken it they can't figure out what it is.
For sure! I have been to two places...BUT my problem is the service. HS Automotriz I think is the name of the first place I brought my car to. They are in David. They actually weren't bad... I switched it up this time because they changed my appointment on me 3 times before i gave up on them. Which is why i'm at place #2, BUT they've had my car for 4 months, so I won't even recommend them at all. Marconela is the name of this place, also in david. but they are horrible!
I can give you Omar's contact information. He speaks english.
His shop is not behind a gas station, as I said, it's on the road to the Wilson bridge.
After Dorado Park, there is a ped crossing overpass at the high school. Take the left turn just past the school.
(There's a sign for Mystic Village.)
about 1/2 the distance to the bridge (maybe 3/4km) there is a paved left turn, just past some very new houses. Turn left onto the paved road, and you will see his shop - it has a lot of cars and trucks parked in the yard.

Well, the first pieces we ordered were the spark plugs, and then we ordered a craft shaft sensor and the knock sensor. the last two are supposedly installed now but is waiting on testing.
I used to go to another place but there was lack of communication between them. but he place i go to now is the same. uhhh
Are any of the places you've been to already, Omar's?
He's in Alto Boquete on the road to the Wilson bridge.
Actually I think that place was recommended to me last week. I will have to check it out. Is he behind a gas station?
