Does anyone know exactly how long you have to be out of Panama before coming back and having your driving privileges renewed for another 3 months? I've heard everything from a few hours to 48 or 72 hours. Any info would be appreciated. I've checked the threads and there was no definitive answer. Just wondering....

Well unless it has changed officially there is no required time limit to be gone from the country; however, do a search on here and you'll see many people are being required to spend a night out of the country before they are being let in. I guess it will all depend on which border crossing you use and who is manning it at that point.
Thanks Dennis. We are going to Rio Sereno and I think 2 days should do it. (Missed you today)
No worries. Just be sure to take all the required documentation -- printout of your return ticket to country of origen, proof of solvency -- either $500 in cash or proof you have that amount available.
Yeah I overslept today.....lol
